When it comes to finding new trends, TikTok doesn’t mess around.

The social media app is known for finding the latest trends at a rapid-fire pace, from makeup and clothing to kitchen hacks, as well as canceling the ones they now deem “cheugy.”

The latest “discovery” on the site are chunky loafer shoes, since ’90s throwback fashion is all the rage right now. But these aren’t your ordinary loafers, as they also have a platform bottom to give you a boost without the discomfort of wearing heels all day.

While there are a lot of different retailers getting in on the trend, the one most talked about on TikTok is the designer Gucci loafers, with many affluent users showing them off in unboxing videos, like the one below which has almost 400,000 views.

However, if you can’t shell out $980 for the loafers, we have some other options for you that are a bit more affordable. Read on for some more platform loafers we love, complete with the gold horse-bit detailing, lug sole and all the styles of the pricey pair.

If you want the designer loafers, we did manage to track them down for you. The shoes are now sold at Farfetch for $980 in polished leather with the golden embroidered bee logo on the back of the heel to match the gold hardware on the front.

This designer pair is a bit less than the Gucci version but is still a pricey pair of amazing quality loafers. The Louboutin shoes are sold at Saks Fifth Avenue for $895 and come with silver hardware instead of gold on the side of the loafer. They also have the iconic platform heel for added height and elevated style.

These loafers cost just a small chunk of the designer price but have all the style. The leather loafers from Steve Madden come in at under $100 and look like the real deal. They have the golden horse-bit detail on the front of the shoes as well as a one-inch platform sole and shiny black leather exterior.

These loafers are off the chain. The Lattelier loafers are also a platform style, with gold detailing on the tops in a chain design similar to the Gucci horse bit. For those looking for other options, they also come in white for a totally different look you can alternate in your fall fashion lineup.

Swap your horse-bit for some laces for a different take on the trend. Sam Edelman has plenty of options with gold hardware, but we love the lace-up style for a dress shoe meets sneaker platform loafer. The shoes also come in a brown color as well as a black and white tuxedo-looking pair, perfect for black tie events or just strutting down the street in the fall.

You’ll want to lug these around, trust us. The lug-soled loafers from Bernardo 1946 are a showstopper, taking the loafer look and adding a chunky heel and white stitching for a unique contrast on the leather shoe. These unique loafers were also lugged in from afar, handcrafted in a family-owned factory in Brazil.

Go big or go home, right? That’s what ASOS thinks, which is why they attached a huge gold chain to their platform loafers and also amped up the shine with faux patent leather. Since they are priced at an affordable $46, the shoes are going fast in many sizes, so be sure to check them out pronto.

Bling out your loafers with this affordable style from Shein. These may be the most budget-friendly pair at only $25, plus you’re getting a bedazzled golden chain across the shoe for some added sparkle.
